Holiday Inn Express Greencastle by IHG

We had a great, last minute stay here on our roadtrip down to NC. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, even when checking in later in the evening. I had my puppy with us, and honestly I was a bit nervous about staying in a pet-friendly room…but I was pleasantly surprised! It was extremely clean, zero smell, nice hard wood floors, and big enough for us to be comfortable for our stay. If I had to give one complaint, it would be that my bed was as hard as a rock😂 but I know some people prefer a firm mattress, so thats just my opinion (reason for 4/5 stars)! The complimentary breakfast the next morning was awesome, SO many options for all dietary preferences!! The fruit was fresh, the food was hot, and again super clean area. We stayed here on a trip to New York. I must say that this was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a hotel. Firstly, every part of the hotel was clean. Even the window siding (a place that is usually neglected). The staff was kind, and perhaps my favorite part was the breakfast. They had hot, fresh food and everything from potatoes, scrambled eggs, pancakes made fresh, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, deserts, and everything you can imagine made fresh. The carpets were new, the room was nice and big, and I also must mention how big the shower was. Very comfortable.

It was a pleasant experience. The hotel looks quite new. The room was very clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and modern amenities. The bathroom was tidy and stocked with quality toiletries. Great custom service. The front desk staff Glenn was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold options.

Positive: Pet friendly and a reasonable fee for having a pet. The breakfast was wonderful. The pet friendly room was great. Staff was nice. Negative: The mattress was torture. I only took points off for this otherwise the hotel was perfect.

Checking in was easy and the person checking me in was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and well lit. My only complaint is that it was a little noisy. I have stayed at a similar hotel (Best Western) on a college football weekend and could not hear my neighbor's TV or people talking in other rooms. Unfortunately, this was not the case in your hotel.
