Holiday Inn Express Early by IHG

I have stayed here many times before and it was just ok, but my recent stay at Thanksgiving was top notch. My family was warmly greeted by Trevor, and he set the tone for a great stay. He even called the room later to make sure everything was good! Also, the food seemed fresher on this stay, the water pressure was good and hot, and everything seemed really clean.

The room had no hot water. After 12 hours on the road on a Friday, all me and my family wanted to do is take a shower and go to bed, but we couldn't. After talking to the front desk (who then contacted the hotel manager) I was told nothing could be done that night. I was then informed that the manager was going to contact me after the weekend and the room was going to be comp. The manager never called me and the room was never comp.

I hate to be harsh but the room we were given was genuinely gross to stay in. There was a pile of old dead crickets by a chair that had a weird stain that doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned. I ended up having the sanitize “touch points” around the room myself(door knobs, counters,etc). You can tell they do a very superficial tidying of the room but it is not well cleaned unfortunately. I’ve stayed at motels cleaner than the room we were in. I would not be at all surprised if they don’t bother to change the sheets between guest stays. Can’t wait to go home and shower. Service was just fine, no complaints with any of the staff, check in/out process went smoothly.

Nice place to stay!! Very clean & very very comfortable!!! The bed was nice, the pillows were great, had a good breakfast on the patio, and just really enjoyed my stay!!! I made it a point to tell the cleaning lady as I was leaving that I had a pleasant stay and she was very appreciative!!! I highly recommend!!!
