Holiday Inn Express Deforest (Madison Area) by IHG

I had a pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was cozy, and the amenities were exactly what I needed for a stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially during check-in and check-out, which went smoothly. A special shout out to the man on front desk he was so helpful and friendly. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and main roads. Parking was also simple and stress-free. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Vara Ilam is the Best hospitality person I have ever met! She is Courteous, Funny, Accommodating and helpful. Absolutely love her! The rooms have been recently renovated and are very comfortable too.

Sunday stay in May. Easy access from interstate with amenities gas, food, and car wash nearby. Hotel was clean staff friendly and accommodating. Room comfortable. Breakfast was satisfying, but consisted of primarily carbohydrates. They did offer apples, oranges, and bananas. Bacon, egg and cheese omelet along with biscuit and gravy. Coffee was strong yet favorable enough.

I would avoid this hotel. You may be charged for an additional night beyond the night you stayed per their policy. I finished my project one day early and checked out at 7:00am on Wednesday. The clerk immediately said I will need to charge for one more night because you failed to give us 24 hours’ notice that you were checking out. I said I had never heard of that as a policy. He said it was the policy of this hotel. I said 24 hours ago I hadn’t even started the project. It wasn’t until last night (Tuesday night) that I knew I had finished the work early. He said I should have told the front desk then. I asked why? He said because someone possibly looking for a room would have been turned away. He dropped the charges but warned me that other IHG hotels have the same policy as this hotel.

After braving the recent winter storm, we decided to make an unexpected stop to stay off the roads. I called to confirm availability for my family and dog, and was reassured by Clark that a room would be held for us. He looked up my IHG number, greeted me by name upon arrival and got us checked in quickly, all while managing a busy front desk with many travelers getting out of the bad weather. He was even spotted that evening clearing snow! The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and fellow hotel guests were kind as well! Kudos to the hospitality from the Holiday Inn Express Deforest community - your staff and guests made for a welcoming and comfortable stay!
