Holiday Inn Express Charles Town by IHG

Clean rooms, free breakfast with great food and options. We came in late and a young women named Alyssa (I believe) got us checked in. The phone was ringing off the hanger and a large group came in with us at the same time. I was dead tired from a long day and she was quick to help us get checked in and beautifully polite. Capable and kind staff and comfortable clean beds to sleep in.

We were in town for a concert at the casino and couldn't have picked a more convenient hotel. This one is right behind the casino. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable room. There were the usual breakfast offerings and the buffet area was kept clean and full, again by friendly staff. The hotel has a shuttle service, but we didn't take advantage of that.

We used our free credit card night for this stay as we were working on a cabin nearby. Certainly not the most expensive hotel for a free night but this HIE exceeded all expectations. Starting with late arrival the front desk offered a late check out. The snacks we could select from were much superior to some hotel's bottle of water. The hotel is large - it's near Charles Town races and slots and they provide a free shuttle there to 11 PM. Our room was a suite and it was very large - had a sofa...a table with two cushioned chairs...microwave and mini fridge...two beds...two TVs...a cushioned chair near the window and an office style chair and desk as well. Overnight stay using IHG points. Great value and accessible location. Front desk staff was exceptional as were the breakfast and housekeeping team. The facility is an older one but in good shape with comfy, clean rooms, ample complimentary breakfast space, efficient climate control, and quiet common areas. So close to beautiful Harper's Ferry and the Casino at Charles Town.

This hotel & staff were great. The beds were very comfortable & rooms are larger than average. The staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed the free shuttle to several places close by, including the casino. The shuttle driver was awesome. The only suggestion I have is to change the room curtains to allow them to close. Having them wide open was not something we enjoyed when the sun came up. But thats a minor thing compared to the overall value of this hotel.
