Holiday Inn Express Andover North-Lawrence by IHG

Sooooo....I loved everything about this hotel. I loved the location, the breakfast, and the cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfast was hot, plentiful and tasty (aside from the eggs...you know that they are powdered, but there you go!) There was juice, yogurt, pancakes, muffins and depending on what day it might be bacon or sausages alongside turkey pan sausages. Let's get to the customer service. SHOLA was exceptional. This young man was magical with his skills of accommodating a large group. He stayed calm, confident and professional and he "smiled". He even had a bit of humor sprinkled in. Everything that we needed, he set out to make it happen. Even explained, if he couldn't he would find an alternative. He didn't have to go above and beyond as he did, but I just believe it's just

The good: great location!! Great customer service cleanliness also great!! The bad no hot water throughout the whole motel. My wife and I drove from n.c. to go to funeral. Booked motel ahead of time place was fabulous, location was great as stated got checked in settled in was getting ready to a nice hot shower after the long drive from N.c.turned on water no hot coming out though maybe it had to build up, waiting for over 15 minutes, nothing not even in the sink. We downstairs to informed the front desk clerk she said that there was not going to be any hot water throughout the whole motel would be for tomorrow be don't have a set time. Hotel stay from hell. Stayed there on New Year's Eve. Room booked weeks in advance. We showed up only to find out that there was in issue with the water running cold and warm, "off and on" as they put it. No warning or heads up in advance. We checked in early, about 3:30 PM. Because of this, the person I was with took a shower immediately in case in got colder when other guests arrived. She got by with lukewarm water. I tried using the sink and the water was all cloudy and dirty looking. I tried a shower later on and it was really almost ice cold so I could not take any show, could not shave, and couldn't brush my teeth. When she went downstairs and talked to staff about the water issue and if anything can be done she mentioned she was able to take a shower right after check-in.

This is a good place to stay if you’re looking for something affordable and conveniently located near family in Lawrence. It’s close to many major stores and restaurants, which is definitely a plus. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. The rooms aren’t particularly clean—not dirty, but not spotless either. If you’re traveling with infants or young children, you may notice the smaller details. Bathroom amenities are minimal unless you specifically request them at the front desk. One major inconvenience is that the rooms do not have microwaves. There’s a shared microwave in a common area on each floor, which everyone uses. Positive: Breakfast was great!! And it was a sold out night!!! Negative: Did not like calling the desk and not being able to talk to anyone!! Over an hour! Finally gave up!
