Holiday Inn Conference Ctr Marshfield by IHG

My wife and I enjoyed a 4-night stay at this hotel located centrally in the city of Marshfield. We didn't have any of the issues adversely mentioned by other recent reviewers. Of note - the photo of the broken roadway posted by a recent user is actually the entrance to the Rivers restaurant, not the hotel. The hotel has an entrance directly off Central Ave, and another onto Park Street, with both being in good repair. The entrance onto 9th Street, photographed by a recent user, is off the Rivers' restaurant parking lot. Additionally, a recent user complained about the pool closure despite the hotel's website clearly stating the following "The Pool area including the waterslide and kiddie pool is currently closed. Positive: Hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Negative: Check in staff member was very unfriendly. She was not welcoming at all. The necessary breakfast card was ridiculous. We were not given enough vouchers so I had to go back to the front desk. Breakfast was average for $17. Disappointed pool not open.

On first appearance, thought it was abandoned. The outside of the building was very unkept. The appearance of the lobby was warm and friendly, although the front desk person was not. Disappointed that the pool and hot tub was closed to renovation, the main reason to choose this hotel. Bed was comfy and room was quiet. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and sadly will NOT be back.

This place is thumbing their nose at all of the Holiday Inn brand standards. No restaurant, no bar, pool closed, can't use Holiday Inn points or Chase reward nights. Can't believe it is still an IHG property. I stay at IHG properties because I know what to expect. Not here. Would be lower if it wasn't for the good restaurant and bar across the street

Very disappointing stay. The front desk staff were short and rude, and the housekeeping staff were unhelpful and almost avoidant. We were not notified before arrival that the pool was closed, which was a major reason for choosing this hotel. The hallway smelled strongly of sewage, making the entire stay unpleasant. To make matters worse, the ice machine was broken, and the one that did work dispensed ice with black debris in it, which is completely unacceptable. There is nothing to do onsite if you don’t already have plans your whole trip. The lobby is small, uncomfortable, and there are no real common areas for guests to gather or relax. Overall, this place feels unclean and poorly managed. This is not a good choice for families or groups of friends, and I would not stay here again.
