Hobo Inn Caboose Lodging

Just spent the weekend here for my birthday and the novelty of this hotel is very cute but it’s very expensive especially for all the things we had wrong with our train car. There was a leak in the hallway and in the shower, not all the blinds had poles to close them, the switch to the patio lights didn’t work so couldn’t turn the light out and we found a screw tucked into the sheets of our bed. We were excited to get the caboose that was dog friendly, such a wonderful option to provide and the bed and sheets were very comfy. The best part of this hotel was the lounge car. Our server was the sweetest human on earth and the food was delicious. We got the vegetable fettuccini and the salmon with blackberry sauce. We practically licked our plates clean. For the price we probably won’t stay

Clean, comfortable, nice sheets and pillows Restaurant, Bar and Pizza restaurant all have their own train car. |Historical very small church next door|We called to make the reservation. |They do not email a confirmation back to you. Just show up.

The unique experience made it worth it but we are not likely to do it again. I few things to know: -Motel check in is at the restaurant, be prepared to wait -Ask for more towels, coffee, etc at check in because there are very few opportunities to ask later -There is no breakfast from the motel, or in the town. Your best bet is about a 20 minute drive. Otherwise you'll be waiting until 11 for the restaurant to open. -The bathroom is freezing cold in the winter -The provided games and movies are severely lacking (missing/broken pieces, wrong movies in the boxes) -If they say, "We will bring it to your cabin" don't believe them -If your coming for the Santa train that day arrive very early and already fed. -All in all, be prepared to wait...a lot. Lastly, plan to stop by the sculpture garde

Cute, clean, comfortable. Incredible staff, clean rooms and prompt service. We stayed in the suite with king bed and dual person jetted tub (caboose 6) Very clean room, jetted tub for two fit my 6’8” partner and myself uncomfortably, but that is no one’s fault. Still a great addition to our stay! Clean and comfortable rooms, excellent staffing, good food for dinner…. You’ll be quite happy and comfortable here. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here as the respite for your adventures!

Super cool room!!! Very well put together. Bed was comfortable! Slept all night. Even with being a little short staffed, service was prompt and very friendly. We will be back for sure
