Hobie Cove, Perry State Park, KS

OK cove. Wish the bathrooms were kept better. There’s actual hot water and a couple showers in the primitive campground but it could use a soap dispenser installed in the bathroom and at least a yearly cleaning. Come on Kansas… They were fairly gross for having to pay to use the campground. Thanks for having toilet paper though. There’s a nice little beach but the water is a little dirty right in that corner of the cove.

Camped at Hobie Cove in March 2022. Hobie Cove is a great spot for primitive camping that is close to the water as well as a bathroom shelter. The park itself feels very safe, and the Lake has many trails and campgrounds.

Beautiful view of the lake and well kept camping sites. My favorite place to camp on lake Perry. Bathroom located next to camping area.

If you want music from across the lake till 3am then this is your spot. The restrooms WILL be destroyed by teens not in your hobie cove area and when you call to report vandalism you get the message "No ranger on duty today.". Natural encounters while relaxing in nature? Not here. You will hear humanity 100% of your stay. 100%. We went on colder days to escape to nature as much as possible to no avail. It's not like it used to be.

Park is clean and the camp sites are a generous size. Great place for morning coffee.
