Hobbs Family Campground

We spent about 6 months at the campground. We travel for work. Mr. Hobbs & staff was excellent. This does not have a playground or any typical RV park that is more set up for short vacations with kids. It’s a great park if you want to stay somewhere peaceful, private & more in nature. Also the price & park is awesome for everything included. We would definitely go back if in the area. The main road in can get very bumpy after rain but the owner does his best to keep up with it.

We spent 7 months camping at Hobbs Family Farm and Campground. It is a bare bones campground at the moment, but Mr. Hobbs is adding amenities all the time. We loved being out in the country. It is so peaceful and very quiet. You can actually look up in the sky and see the stars at night. Mr. Hobbs has all kinds of farm animals that you can admire. The donkeys are so friendly. They will come right up to you for you to give them a rub behind the ears. If you are looking for something long term, short term, or a quick stopover, this is the place to go. It is right on the Waccamaw River. There is even a boat ramp for you to put your boat in the river and go fishing. Or, you can fish right from the bank. It has been a great experience being here at the beautiful Hobbs Family Campground! They have been like family! There's a playground for children, unique animals, a boardwalk in the woods, not to mention river front!

Beautiful campground with large sites with water/electricity and dump access. Probably the best internet access I’ve ever had at a campground. The well maintained grounds are a slice of serenity or maybe heaven. Owners are accommodating, friendly and are available to be of assistance. At night, you have a light show to savour. Love the ponds and burrows, ducks, and chickens. Bring your fishing rod for some fishing in the river. I cannot say enough good about this place.

This family run campground was just what we needed. There are 3 lots, we stayed in campground C. The other reviews were right, the folks treat you like family. Anything you need they will make happen. The plus to my weekend was to have Donkeys right next to our site. They loved the carrots and the little donkey gets out and hangs out at your campsite.
