HiWay Inn Express of Hugo

Honestly, this place probably isn't up to standards with a Hilton or something along those lines, but its definetly not a 1 star. This was a decent hotel for where it's located, plus a nice spot for Taco Bell and Walmart, it's very convenient! I would 100% go here compared to all other options, the lady at the front desk was wonderful and caring. The prices certainly aren't up to standard though, almost $130 for 2 nights is terrible for this hotel! That almost made me regret my decision coming here, but I'm glad I didn't. As of Friday, June 20th, 2025 I did NOT see ANY bed bugs, nor residue of them. 231 was our room and it was clean! There was a bit of a smell though, I wish they had a phone in their rooms. ⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!

This hotel was absolutely terrible! If you can spare the drive, I would drive the extra 15-20 minutes to the casino, and spend the little bit of extra cash. Lesson learned. I had my family reunion near the hotel so it seemed convenient next to a few fast food places, and Walmart.However I was mistaken. It smelled awful, attempted to walk around the room without socks and my feet were sticking to the floor, as if something had been spilled and never cleaned up. There were bugs in the light fixtures, burns in the blankets, we attempted to take a shower and realized there were only 2 towels in the bathroom. Keep in mind it was my husband and I and our 2 kids. I stayed at the Hiway Inn in Hugo, OK, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When we arrived, the employees at the front desk were in pajamas and sweatpants, and had blankets wrapped around them which didn’t give us much confidence about the professionalism of this place. Then, after checking in, we discovered that they had messed up our reservation. We booked a room with two beds but were given a single bed instead. Once they finally got us into the right room, it only got worse. We walked in and were hit by a terrible smell—like a mix of body odor and cigarettes. It was overwhelming and made the room feel dirty and uncomfortable. The “amenities” listed are misleading. There’s a breakfast area, but don’t expect any hot breakfast in the morning. For the price, it is a 5 star for me, room has a flat screen up to date with cable, not sure if they all do but this is a plus. From the ground up was spotless clean and could tell everything was washed good and the floors were swept and mopped well. Bathrooms spotless aswell, I travel through every 6 weeks and I will be choosing this place my stay once every 6 weeks from now on.

My stay with Highway Inn was pleasant & I slept well . Thank you Summer & Jonathan & the morning manager & her assistant who loaded my suitcases for me . I hope to stay again sometime .
