Hite RV Campground

Stark, hot, beautiful. I love this place, you are far from lights, towns, traffic. Beautiful places to hike in the canyons below the campground. Thank you to the rangers/EMT who helped us stay safe with our son who was dehydrated. A huge thanks to the wonderful store owner that helped us by getting power drinks and popsicles to hydrate him after hours. Update on our sons condition. He may have been dehydrated but he was actually suffering from Lymes disease due to a tick from CO camping. Check your kids for ticks!

Amazing views and very much of the beaten path, the camp sites are clean and are for basic camping, there is a nice TV camp ground also, fall and winter is amazing for hiking, and depending on water levels, kayaking. Do not plan to bring a power boat, as the water levels are not normally high enough to launch. Rafting and kayaking only. There is little to no cell coverage, and no wifi. Is off grid and basic, but if your into getting away, and love basic camping hiking, it's amazing, there is a gas station, with a store that has basic necessitys. And it's hard to find a more beautiful desert place to stay.

We stayed here in the full hookup section. It's a LOVELY park and a fantastic location. The price we felt for what we were able to do and see from this location was too expensive. I noticed that other campers stayed at other locations or cheaper options. Hopefully the price will go down as we'd like to come back but won't at the current price.
