Historic Elgin Hotel

This was a truly awesome experience! My hubby and I now have a weekend getaway location! I really don't see how it could be any better. My husband and I walked around the whole hotel for a couple of hours (they leave unoccupied rooms open so you can go in and look at them!). There are so many beautiful sitting rooms. We also went to the game area and played pool, that was a riot! I haven't played in so long! This would be the most beautiful place to have a wedding, it is all just so beautiful, they have thought of every single little detail. The restaurant, The Parlor, was fantastic. I don't know if I have ever had better service. We stopped to chit chat with Jennifer at the desk and she told me the whole history, so that was really neat. She definitely went above and beyond wit

Our stay at this hotel was an incredible experience. This building is awesome and needs to be preserved. The common areas are great and I enjoyed the kitchen space. The staff is friendly and make you feel so welcome. Jennifer is a lovely person and very helpful. We will visit again

We have been to The Elgin many times for dinner but have never spent the night. To say we were blown away is an understatement! The rooms are beautifully appointed and the amenities are luxurious. The bed was super comfy and the sheets and towels were super plush. There is a wonderful outdoor balcony with comfy seating and a large communal kitchen for all to use and enjoy. We can’t wait to come back!

I look forward to staying here every time I take a long road trip. The hotel interior is stunning, and the service is lovely. Jennifer makes me feel like family whenever I'm there! It's quiet, more than comfortable, and luxuriously appointed. Each room has its own story of Kansas/Western history and is beautifully decorated. A welcome respite from driving the highways and interstates - it's immediately relaxing. Don't miss this gem!

Amazing. That's the word to describe our weekend at The Elgin. It being our second visit we were able to do some local sightseeing this time around. Celebrating our Anniversary there this time around was a great idea. Jennifer was there to great us with her beautiful smile. Had all the info we needed again ready for us. We were greeted by Luke Skywiskers the hotel ambassador on Sunday morning during brunch. He was an added treat and appreciated all the belly rubs 🐈 We discovered a lot to do within 30 min drives. We ventured to Chase County Fishing Lake and hiked over to the falls. Easy hike across the dam and a little trek through some trees and we beheld beauty. Very clean too. Way to go Kansas State Parks!
