Customer Reviews
We stayed at the Hilton Short Hills over Thanksgiving, and while it served its purpose, it’s ultimately just a place to sleep. We typically stay in New York City, but when needing to be in New Jersey, there are very limited options, and this is generally considered the best available.||Check-in was straightforward, and we were handed a bottle of water upon arrival, which was appreciated. Beyond that, the experience was fairly basic. The rooms are dated and could use a refresh, and the hotel tends to be very busy with events, which adds to the overall feeling of wear.||That said, the hotel is fine for a one or two night stay if you need to be in the area and don’t have many alternatives. It’s functional and acceptable, but not a property we’d choose if there were stronger options nearby.
12/6/25 I went to this hotel after another hotel was overbooked and I’m so happy I did!!! It exceeded my expectations completely!! The lobby was huge and luxurious and the room was even better! Very clean spacious room with mirrors EVERYWHERE! The bathroom even had a soap bar for showering when most hotels only provide shower gel.(they had that too!) The receptionists were very pleasant and helpful!! I also love that the keycard is required to go up to the rooms for additional safety within the hotel! Totally going back here again!!
If I could give this hotel zero stars, I absolutely would. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and it is shocking that this property is advertised as a **4-star hotel**.||1. Room cleanliness – unacceptable:|The room was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, there was a cockroach on the bed, which we even documented with photographs. This kind of welcome is something you would expect from a zero-star motel, not a so-called 4-star property.||2. Bed sheets condition:|The bed sheets were torn, worn out, and visibly old, to the point where they had turned yellow. Allowing guests to sleep on such bedding clearly shows a complete lack of hygiene standards and management oversight.||3. Misleading amenities:|The hot tub bath was **out of service for
Positive: Rooms are very nice and well cared each day. Negative: I was not told about the daily parking charge during check-in then got a $24.00 per night after. I would have no problem if I was told up front.
Keisha’s hospitality truly took the cake! Her professional, kind, and welcoming demeanor is the silver lining of this convenient hidden jewel. Despite a couple of guests ahead of me, check-in was quick and seamless. There’s plenty of parking available, and the indoor pool is the icing on the cake.
