Hilton Garden Inn Midland

Nice hotel and clean rooms. Helpful, friendly staff at the front desk. Really liked the room doors will stay open when pushed all the way open as it's helpful when moving luggage into the room. Very quiet. Mattress was better than many but we did tend to roll toward the middle.|

We tend to shy away from hotels as we prefer more peace and quiet. Our last hotel stay was a disaster with door slamming later in the evening leaving us unrested the next day. What a breath of fresh air this Hilton Garden Inn was! Friendly staff, nice large, comfortable room, and oh yes, very quiet. The breakfast was even much better than usual. We will stay here again on our next visit to Midland.

Positive: Price Negative: No daily maid service. Only every other day. Elevator doors don?t open. Must call front desk to open.

Hiltons can range in quality, we all know that. There is a minimum level we expect when staying at an establishment branding the Hilton name. Even the janky spots are expected to be clean and have decent beds. Midland is known for its overpriced, understaffed, and ran down hotels. As a lifetime diamond member, I have seen my fair share of sub par locations. This particular hotel might just take the first prize in “Hilton’s worst experience” competition. To begin, the employees are nice and helpful, this isn’t their fault. It is clearly a lack of oversight from Hilton upper management, and the local owners. $40 newspaper stuffed mattresses, showers that have been leaking for so long the tile is literally buckled and missing, TVs smaller than most people’s travel laptop monitors. Happily getting back on the road this morning, we are wonderfully rested, with our bellies full from such a yummy breakfast! Shout out to the marvelous resturant and crew!!! Thanks ❤️ 😋 Junior was perfect at the front desk, he greeted us warmly, and quickly got these weary wanderers into the perfect room last night! Suzie started our day out in such an amazing way, it's sure to make us have a happy day 😀 The renovation was great! Incredibly comfy and luxurious beds, plus hot water and quiet a/c....golly did we ever sleep!!! Yay, we are back in Texas Pride territory. Thanks for the care and attention to details, it truly made the difference.
