Hilton Garden Inn Miami Airport West

The hotel is in a great location. The lobby area is beautiful and the hotel front desk was great. I especially like that they provide both Airport Shuttle and for a nominal fee a Cruise Port Shuttle. If you want to use the service you have to sign up upon arrival. I also love that they provide us with early check-in, which was a great start to our long-awaited vacation. The room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was totally private and secluded. However, the bathroom is a bit dated with no walk-in shower. The biggest plus was the bar area and the food. Service was outstanding and the food was great. The portions were very generous. There were stores nearby and a Denny's is right across the highway. There is also the Dolphin Mall and other nearby places to dine and shop. Overal

We arrive 3 hours late due to airline delays and airport buffoonery. But the front desk was very organized and helpful. Room was small but very clean with all amenities. Upscale soaps and such were nice. TV was hard to navigate after a long day on the road. Cab ride from airport was $50. But the route was direct so I dont think I got scammed. Using shuttle this morning to head to cruise terminal. Very satisfied.

Absolute ripoff!! Avoid. The room was below average, at best. The tap on the bathroom tub leaked all night, without letup. I was forced to carry luggage up and down 5 flights of stairs because there was only 1 operational elevator and the hotel was hosting a cruise ship group. Yes, others waited 20 minutes for space in the single elevator car, but I have others things to do with my time. To end an uncomfortable stay, Sabrina harassed me about breakfast after I was told that it was "included" with the room. One sausage and one egg was charged at $21.95, including tax and a $3.76 "service charge" for a "one price buffet." Yes! Sabrina had the nerve to give herself a tip! Just really no customer service at all. Front desk wasn’t friendly. It was really like you were imposing on her day! Didn’t great me or acknowledge me as a Hilton gold remember or even as an honors member at all. Didn’t even look to see if they had an upgrade available for me. I had to ask about parking when I saw a sign by the desk saying you need to pay here for parking. Didn’t even ask if I had a car. The hotel is old and shows its age in various places. The Elevators have seen better days. The rooms which have recently been remodeled by the looks are missing many amenities I haven’t seen in years rooms not having. First no safe! How in these day and age do you not offer a safe. I’m traveling. I have cash, watches, jewelry, iPads and many other items with no place to keep them! Room s
