Hilton Garden Inn Irvine East/Lake Forest

If it wasn't for the late night FD agent and the breakfast lady (who I believe not only takes orders, but makes them too - by herself!), this rating would be 1 star. Don't get stuck on the second floor because the walls are paper thin. Or I might've just had a 600 lb person walking above me all day and night from 6AM! Don't think you'll get to sleep in if you want - Housekeeping goes card tapping on all the doors echoing down the hall, so you hear EVERY DAMN DOOR. I've never been more frustrated at a hotel than this one. The bed makes noise, the carpet is sticky & needs to be replaced, the bathroom is a patchwork job. You have to flip the light switches on and off a few times before they actually work. The tv has no guide, so have fun flipping thru EVERY station (only plus on this is they

Free parking, updated/ renovated rooms, soft pillows and beds. The room was super clean and really appreciated the updated showers (not a tub). The king sized bed room was spacious and felt really clean. Check in was quick and easy. Love it.

We stayed for 6 days. The atmosphere was great. The young bartender was great made good drinks great conversation. Met some nice people at the bar.The cook made a delicious chicken ceasar salad 🥗 it was fire. Housekeeping was helpful kept our room clean. I was in room 239 very private except for the drama a couple had on valentine's day. Hopefully they made up. This is hotel is close to so many places. That I even had a fun time at Disneyland. Everything was walking distance

Had to change rooms because of clogged sink. New room did not have a chair. Had to call John back to deliver chair. Then, despite my call to front desk reminding her that no made service was provided in my new room and that I needed maid service, and her assurance that she would call the maid service supervisor, I got no maid service! Had to get towels, etc. Bad experience overall. Also, although John was very nice and professional and he apologized for issues, he made no offer to comp me a night, give me a free breakfast, give me points, etc. A piece of advice, when you screw things up you need to give the customer something for his trouble. Nothing given. I will never stay at this hotel again. This hotel also desperately needs updating. It’s also a good idea to vacuum the shredded paper
