Hilltop Lakes

This place blew my mind! My wife and I went for the golf with very low expectations and man were we surprised!! If you like peace and quiet, friendly people, incredible views and wildlife I would highly recommend visiting! This is what golf was meant to be! This is not your bougie, uptight, overpriced, over booked resort. With No tee times and great course conditions, this is a golfers paradise!!!

I live here, and grew up playing on this course. I love the amenities that come with the maintenance fees. It really is a great place to live, and raise your family. The problem I have is over the last few years as the maintenance fees have climbed, the quality of the course has went down. The cause is uncertain to me, but all I know is we used to get a lot more for a lot less. So you tell me where all our $ is going, because it seems very mismanaged to me, or maybe it’s just incompetence. Idk.

The hospitality is unsurpassed! Everyone is so accommodating and friendly. The restaurant has new ownership and it’s awesome. Best steak I’ve had! The view is beautiful everywhere whether you’re on the hill or at one of the 5 stocked lakes. The golf course is state of the art. The RV park is amazing. This resort is the best kept secret. If you end up enjoying it, you can even by a piece of property there.

Hilltop Lakes when I was a kid was amazing, but I feel like as time goes on there's less and less to do there. They used to have so many activities for people that were visiting or people that live there, but now there's very little. Their buildings have been kept up pretty well, and the theme rooms in their hotel are pretty cool. We stayed in the Firefly room and it was really really cool, our kids loved it!

Our family stayed there when I was about twelve, so many, many years ago. It was wonderful. Looking at the pictures the only thing that looked familiar was the pool. It was a great part of my childhood.
