Hilltop Campground

This is a great campground. My only strike against it (4/5) is that you come here to go to the lakes (Cliff/Wade) and this campground isn't right on either. But it is much more quiet and spacious than Wade or Cliff. And it is only a short hike or drive to either lake. If all else fails, use this campground as an overflow campground if you can't find a site at Wade or Cliff, and then move camp the next morning when someone leaves!

Lake was very busy and couldn't fish most of the time but the camp ground was very quite and spaced out.

Camp host were very kind.So beautiful to be at the pine tree forest altitude. The unpaved road is very tough on travel traliors.Bounced my 2 burners right off the cook top.Broke a photo.

Nice campsite overall. There are 3 camping areas in the Cliff and Wade lakes area - one by Cliff Lake, one by Wade Lake, and the Hilltop campground that is in between, and up a hill. The campgrounds right by the lakes seem to fill up first (and fast), and this is a bit of an "overflow" campground, but it also seems to have more space in the campsites. It would've been nice to camp by the lakes & not have to shuttle our boats up & down the hill, but we still had a very nice time.

Nice campground, clean with small clean pit toilets. There is running water at the campground. Beautiful lakes, probably need a kayak or raft to fully enjoy the water. Water is blue like a tropical island. They ask 15 dollars a night.
