Hillside Motel

My husband and I stayed here traveling through on our motorcycles. It was a spacious, clean, and updated room with a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, and table for 2. We enjoyed the front porch with the plants. We ate at Mehlman's Cafeteria, "up the hill", based on a recommendation from the office and it was like a home cooked meal-yummy. Bruce, the motel owner, was very friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

First, The motel is is such a beautiful area. I am originally from NYC and coming here opened my eyes that there are places still in this country where it still feels like a throwback to a different time and place. People are so nice (The Owners are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met). I have been here for 3 months living in one of their cabins. I’ve seen the rooms too and they are meticulously clean and the owners (Bruce and Katie) will go out of their way to make sure your stay is a positive one. Extremely clean outside , close enough to the biz box stores but far away where you can hear the birds singing.Absolutely no issues with sketchy people and totally safe. We just recently spent several days at Hillside. It was not the first time we were there. We go there every time we are visiting family. It is a quaint and spacious motel. Yet it is small enough to be cozy. It is clean and we'll kept. It is furnished nicely with refrigerator, tv, microwave and wifi. We felt very homey there. The couple who owns and operates the place are the best. They are very very nice people. I can not say enough good things about the accommodations and the couple that make you feel welcome. Will always stay there when in the neighborhood. You should too.

Super nice and clean place. Cute little shop in the main office as well. Rooms were very nice and service was great. Location his perfect, a quick ride away from Wheeling made it the perfect place for us

I can't say enough about this place or the owners. It's just a cute little spot in the hillside. It's quaint, peaceful and a little out of the way. My husband and I came across it while Door dashing when we first got to the area from Tennessee almost a year ago. We had reached an incredibly difficult time in our lives and starting over from scratch. All we had were a few personal things, our dogs , each other and the smallest crumb of hope left. I fell in love with the energy and style of the motel. After establishing employment we called them up and booked ourselves a room..... At check in I just knew we were in the right place. Bruce is the "man of the house " but Katie runs the show! They have been so amazing! Very down to earth, relatable and honestly, rare gems for business owners. I'
