Wow! We’ve been thinking of trying Hill Farm for a while, and we are really glad we did. A top notch restoration of this property makes it an exceptional choice. The rooms are so clean and well-appointed. The common areas are comfortable and cozy. The breakfast is outstanding - everything’s fresh and well-prepared. The Inn is really well-run, but the magic is the people (Joanne, Abby and Maria in particular). Friendly, gracious and working hard to take care of the guests. We ate dinner at the on site restaurant a couple of times and really enjoyed it — the space, inside a restored barn building, is very beautiful. An altogether great experience.
Can’t recommend hill farm enough. My husband and I spent two nights here for my 40th birthday and everything was incredible from the moment you walk in the door. You are greeted by the most friendly farm cats - maple and tiger. The room and whole inn were spotless. Breakfast each day was delicious and the scones (available all day!) were my favorite. The bed was comfy, the staff went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back!
I can’t think of enough superlatives to accurately convey how pleased we were with Hill Farm Inn. It is an exquisite mountain retreat—warm and rustic, yet modern and inviting in all the right ways. The accommodations were cozy and pristine, with a clear attention to detail from top to bottom; every element felt thoughtful and intentional. The breakfast was exceptional, and we dined at the restaurant two of the three nights—each meal was excellent in both quality and quantity. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without ever feeling intrusive, striking the perfect balance of hospitality. We are a group of outdoor enthusiasts from New York and New Jersey and have been coming to Vermont for the past three years. This trip was the best, bar none. I read the reviews beforehand, an
We had a wonderful stay at Hill Farm recently. The rooms were cozy and warm (perfect having come in from a very misty chilly evening) and the staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a delicious very local dinner at their restaurant down the hill and the breakfast spread - particularly the freshly baked scones were scrumptious! In the evening the staff set up a roaring fire for us in the big living room fire place and we got to spend a cozy evening playing games and reading by the fire. But possibly the highlight was how in the morning we got to spend time with the farms very friendly collection of alpacas! They are so cute and so friendly - and the staff gave us apples to feed them with. We also got to wander along their winding beautiful river walk. All and all we had a wo
Hill Farm Inn was the perfect spot for our long weekend with friends. We stayed three nights in the River House with five other couples, and it couldn’t have worked better: six comfortable, updated bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and great shared spaces to relax together. Our room opened onto the second-floor porch with a beautiful view over the pond and fields - quiet and exactly what you hope for in Vermont. One night we had a catered dinner in the farmhouse that was warm, personal, and excellent. The hospitality from the team throughout our stay was outstanding. The location is ideal too: just minutes from Manchester’s shops and restaurants, close to hiking and fly fishing, with mountain views that feel a bit like Napa but with rivers and trees that make it even better.
