Highland Camp Ground

I grew up here- my family had a seasonal campsite and we came every weekend from the time I was 8 years old until I was well into college. Some of the best moments of my childhood were spent here, the campground is a perfect place for kids. Safe and contained, yet the campground and surrounding wooded areas felt so expansive and were a source of endless adventure for me and the other kids who grew up there. If you are looking for a place to camp seasonally with your kids, this place is just perfect. I’m turning 30 now and live in the midwest now, but found myself reminiscing… it left such a lasting impact on me that I just had to write this review! If you have kids, rent a campsite here. It’s a wonderful place!

I went with a group of friends with my son to Highland this weekend we had sights 71 and 72. It was Halloween weekend there (early because they will be closed for actual Halloween). We tent camped and had a great time. The activities for the weekend were fun and well planned. We all loved the general down to earth vibe and fellow campers were friendly. One of my group who also owns a camper is now looking into getting a seasonal sight there she liked it so much. The owners were super nice and friendly.

My son and I had an awesome stay here! The campground offers spacious sites, many games and activities, a welcoming community, and is all well maintained! Hot showers with great water pressure, a pool, a fishing pond, and more. It's a really wonderful place, definitely adding to our favorites list!

This is our first season here and we love it! It's quiet and clean. The sites are good size fitting our 32 ft camper and 2 cars with plenty of room to spare. The laundry and bathrooms are directly across from us which is a plus. Rec hall has ping pong, pool, air hockey tables and a few arcade games and bingo is held every weekend there. There is a small stocked pond which is catch and release and perfect for the kids. Playground includes separate area for under 6 yrs old and their is basketball hoop, tether ball, shuffleboard and bocce courts. The people we've met have all been really nice and the owners take care of their property. We picked up a seasonal site this year. It’s a great place to bring kids and family. They are rule oriented but it’s to keep the kids safe. We love it. The activities in the weekends are a lot of fun and the pool is awesome. It’s a great bargain.
