High Point Mountain Motel

Pulled in late, Melanie had put our key on lock box so we were all set. Room was clean and nicely thought out! Shower hot, bed comfortable, quiet surroundings on an icy night! Only thing that would have made it better was a coffee maker in the room! Had micro/fridge and everything else needed for a great stay! So close! 😊

Positive: Location! Quiet peaceful surroundings Room was clean. Water pressure in shower was good. Negative: All furniture is outdated. Bed was sagging & had to sleep backwards so that my head was elevated from feet. Nice large refrigerator and microwave.

Stayed one night at High Point Mountain Motel and it was absolutely perfect! Check-in ends at 9 PM, but due to travel delays I arrived late. I called ahead and they were incredibly accommodating - professionally resolved my issue and had my room ready upon arrival with warm, friendly service! The room was immaculate: • Bedsheets, pillows, towels smelled amazingly fresh and refreshing (every time I turned in bed, that clean scent was heavenly!) • Spectacular views of snow-covered nature right outside • Everything spotless and comfortable This motel exceeded every expectation. Their flexibility with late check-in and pristine room quality made for a truly memorable stay. Highly recommend - will definitely return!

The staff is great! Some features of the accommodations are a bit vintage, but you can't beat the price and location. It's located near High Point State Park right off the highway, but we didn't notice much noise. Open skies for stargazing. They are under new ownership and are undergoing some remodeling, but it wasn't an inconvenience. They have outdoor charcoal grills and a firepit out front. Food delivery is available from nearby Up the Creek Cafe.

Great Motel close to rhe Appalachian Trail, many hikers including I enjoyed staying at. Good price for the area, great location to the trail and state park up the road. Rooms are clean, well kept, service very friendly and down to earth. Will return whenever I'm in the area again, thanks for a wonderful experience. Only thing I recommend is for them to add blackout curtains to each room, the sun was a bit bright and woke me up early in the morning, pretty sunrise at least but would be helpful to allow customers to sleep in.
