Customer Reviews
In a quiet feel good atmosphere and creek side. This isn't a luxurious campground but if you just wanna get away for a night the weekend or whatever this is a chill spot. Nobody bothers you and everyone is so friendly. The owner is a guy I met not long ago but he is a good guy always looks out for others and welcomes all that act right. I've gain some friends and had some good times. Hope to see you there!
We typically use the state and national park system. This was our first rv park so we didn’t know what to expect. However, this place exceeded our expectations and we had a great time during our 3 night stay. We had a creek side site and enjoyed fishing, panning and relaxing by the creek on our hammock. We played horse shoes, rode our bike through the trails, and visited the animals (pigs, horses, goats, bunnies). About half the folks there were permanent residents, and half families visiting. Everyone we met was friendly, and we felt very safe and comfortable here. The family who runs the place kept everything clean and checked up on, and answered whatever questions we had. ||The haunted forest is adjacent to the campground, so it’s a bit noisy when it’s running, but didn’t really
People seemed to be nice. The pictures on the website were obviously old. Seemed a little more rundown then what the pictures showed. Just not what I was expecting. Does have a bathhouse which was a plus, but I was given instructions to "flick" a relay in the other room for the propane water heater to kick on before showering. But still thankful for a shower so there's that. Campsites were clean and for the most part quiet. I choose this campground because it was close to Emerald Hollow Mine. Even though my experience wasn't totally bad, I think I may look for another campground or get an Air BNB next time.
I went to this campground for a Boy Scout trip and it left me scarred. It is more of a junkyard than a campground. There are homeless people walking around the bathhouse has to electricity and has shrines in it. I walked to the bathroom at night and there were people bent over not moving. I did not feel safe. Cool river though!
Terrible unless you're a tweeker. This place hasn't been cared for in years. The pool is falling apart and the kids playground is too. Dogs barking ALL the time. If we wanted water, we had to hook up to the hose that ran across the back of everyone's site that was attached to an small pump (hard to explain) As a matter of fact while we were leaving the Sheriff and fire inspector showed up. Didn't look good. A massive false advertisement.
