Pump spicket during season but I'd bring water. Restrooms need so serious attention. Roomy sites but have a steep angle to the picnic tables, not all sites have fire pits. Overall great place for free. 2 bars Verizon, shooting range, next door did not bother me. I would stay again.
Cannot complain for free, but to me this is civilization brought to the outdoors with all the paved sites just ready to back in, nut to butt with all the other people with too much money and not enough common sense. There is walking trails around the perimeter, all marked and pretty, nothing like tromping along a deer trail or rabbit run. Raccoons are used to people, so there is your wildlife experience you city slickers. Nice, free, very pretty but not like what I'm used to for wilderness.
Campground near an open air rifle range so you will hear gunshots at 7pm at night and again at 7am in morning. Free campsite but you have to self register.
Very quite and secluded campground. The primitive restroom was not as bad as some of the reviewers claimed. It was in fact quite clean. Free campground without electricity nor shower nor water. There Was cell signals good enough to use for messaging and browsing the internet
I love this campground. It’s free!! There’s designated spots for each area, each with a paved place to park your car, flat ground to set up your tent, a picnic table and a fire pit. There’s also a free restroom but it smells like any public park restroom. Truthfully, it’s extremely dirty and flies are everywhere so I prefer to pop a squat in the woods. Many people bring their own firewood but we like to scavenge the woods for some so if you’d like to do that, you definitely can - just bring an axe! The shooting range is very close by and you can hear the shooting mostly from sun up to sun down but that doesn’t bother us that much.
