Customer Reviews
We stayed for 5 nights, my husband didn’t read reviews before booking. The campground is by far mostly permanent campers, one is very old and doesn’t have a screen door so it sits open during the day. There was the noise of several campers leaving for work very early in the morning. There is a very nice middle section of the grounds that is almost entirely empty. It is very nice looking, lots of shade, etc. we called before our stay to make arrangements. When we repeatedly called a week before we arrive we left several messages and never received a return call. The shower rooms are decently clean, I’m sure we were the only ones using them. When we let the office know the women’s restroom was completely without toilet paper they had all day to refill and didn’t.
Stayed just over a week here on a pull through site. They did have a pool but I didn't use it. Staff is very friendly and professional. All hook ups worked as they should. I notices that there was a warmer for the water for the winter time. I believe this campground is open all year. Gravel roads. Located a few miles south of Bowling Green just of 301 N. There are a lot of what looks to be annual campers there but they were all friendly and didn't bother us at all. I would stay here again. Free wifi but I didn't use it. You can pick up a few channels by antenna. No cable.
We stayed for a month and we enjoyed our stay. Some spaces are a bit tight, we didn’t have much sitting room outside the RV, the bathhouse was always clean and we enjoyed our walks around the lake. That being said, there are several small improvements that they are just neglecting to do, (ie getting the nasty boats out of the water, fixing up the main shop floors, fixing the laundry room up)
I stayed here for 3 days between dog shows. I left a well known campground, not the right fit. Hidden Acres took me in, accommodated my needs and requests and made me feel welcome. It is under new management and doing a lot of improvements. They have a ways to go but the pool water was clear and blue, bathrooms and showers were clean. Lawns are mowed and cared for.
There are few options in this area but beware of Hidden Acres Campground in Bowling Green. The staff is rarely if ever available. They do not answer the phone, the voicemail box is full so you can’t leave a message, and the office is rarely open. If you do manage to get in the office you will be bombarded with cat pee smells from the unchanged litter box. Most of the sites do not have working electric and the staff cannot figure out the reservation system and often double book sites leaving someone with no where else to go.
