Hickman's Motel Aspermont

Scheduled a hunting trip in Guthrie, Texas, motel was recommended by a friend. I wasn't sure what to expect from a motel in a very small town. I will say the staff was very friendly, rooms look to be recently updated, clean rooms. Maybe a slightly over the top cleaning spray, but no biggie. From being use to staying in upper class hotels, I was very pleasantly surprised. I will stay again on my next trip

Stayed here after a friend's wedding. It was a cute little place, the staff were nice, and the rooms were decent for what we paid. The shelf in the corner of our room was quite dusty, and there were lots of bugs in the bathroom. Luckily they were mostly pretty small bugs, but it was still not great!||The bathtub looked stained, but the rest of the bathroom was very clean. Overall the experience was good, not ideal, but not terrible!

We stayed here for a tour of four 6's ranch. Our room was dusty, lamp shades, head board, window sill. Husband almost fell in shower, slick. Worn out hangers in closet. No hair dryer. One towel in the room. Had to use 2 remotes to run the TV. Air conditioner was loud. Beds uncomfortable, we have aching backs now. Run by Indians, the red dot ones. Would not stay here again. Thankfully we don't have to. If you want to tour the Ranch, stay in Abilene 1.5 hours from the ranch and book an afternoon tour unless you are an early riser.

The lady that checked me in was nice enough. The room is supposed to be a non smoking room. When we turn the heat on it had a super strong odor of smoke. It is under 50 degrees outside and we have no heat. The carpet is filthy. The bathroom was clean. I won't stay hear again.

This is an old motel, so expect some things to be a little rough around the edges. However, rooms were clean, shower was hot, bed was comfortable, and plenty of tv channels. Not much more you can ask for!
