Hi-Line is a great place to unplug and relax on the lake. The cabins are recently renovated and sit overlooking the water. The resort has fishing, boat dock access, RV sites and a pool as well. Our kids were happy to run, play and swim and they enjoyed the slower pace. It was only a 25 minute drive to Llano for some amazing BBQ (Cooper's, you gotta try it!). The best part, for me, was the stars. We live in Houston where we can't really see them but they were big and bright (as the song says) out there on the lake.
Not pet friendly. Cost too much to fish. Food is bad. Fish house not heated. No coffee. Guides are rude. Not the place it used to be

We found HiLine Resort, this was our first time staying here and we are already planning our next visit back. This campsite is very big, with a pool, club house, playground, hiking trails, and lots of fishing opportunities. It’s a RV and cabins area available all have a beautiful lake views and amazing sunsets. The new management team were extremely friendly and helpful. All the amenities offered here added so much value.
It was so fun we got to take my 7-year-old fishing for the first time even though we only caught turtles. Lol
