We were watching our grandson play baseball , so we arrived after dark. The first thing I noticed was that we had no running water in the bathroom sink, and the valve had been turned off. When we turned the valve on, all it did was leak. The shower was full of flying gnats, which got in through wide cracks in the door to the room. The next morning, I called the proprietor, and told her that we had no running water in the sink. She said, "Use the tub". I told her I wanted another room, to which she answered, "I don't have any rooms available". She had stated that she knew the water wasn't running, but hadn't done anything about it. I asked her how she could rent a motel room, knowing that the water wasn't running in the bathroom sink. She told me she was busy with people checking out

I do not like to give negative reviews but I have an obligation to inform.||||As we pulled up, it looked like a nice quaint motel. It was less than 10 miles from Cooperstown. And it was only $110 a night.||||The bed was nicely made with a quilt. But the mattress was horrible. It was worn out so bad that there was a huge crater in the middle of the bed where my wife and I would fall into. Extremely uncomfortable.||||The rooms/building are constructed with paper thin walls. You can hear everything that is going on next door, and I mean everything.||||All night long not only could I hear the tv from the room next door, I heard the dude snoring...Long, Loud and Hard.||||The tv channels took forever just to change.||||There were spider webs in the corner of the bedroom and in the bathroom. Stayed there for a family burial..... Comfy beds, clean, we had a big breakfast on the back porch.

I had originally left a bad review because I’m an idiot and booked the wrong date. Luckily, I stay in the area for work every week so I was still able to use the room today. I’m here now and I have nothing bad to say. It is very clean. Very cute cabin aesthetics. Has a very nice outdoor grilling/picnic area. There’s contactless check in/out which is quite nice. They left me a voice mail telling me what room I’d be in. I would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be staying here again.

Cute rustic little motel. The scenery was really pretty and the property was neatly maintained. The room was mostly clean except for the bathroom which I finished cleaning when I arrived. No on-site staff that I saw but they called me ahead of time, told me my room number and left the door unlocked with a room key on the table so check in was a breeze, lol. I took off 1 star for the really uncomfortable bed and 1 star for the strong sulphur odor in the bathroom. It didn't bother me a whole lot but if you haven't ever lived in a place that has sulphur in the water, than this place may not be for you! I probably would not stay here again but it was good enough to crash for the night.
