Heritage Acres RV Park & Campground

Large number of permanent campers, many look like junkyards, especially in the area of sites 154 - 174 by Hermit Field. Looks like a homeless encampment with dilapidated campers and garbage. NOISY. Boom boxed blasting when we arrived, went on for hours until we complained. Then the party started at dusk at most of the campers in this area. Still going on at 1:00 am. heavy alcohol and drug activity Internet only available at office which is a very long walk away. Run down buildings and pool area. Location is out in the boonies. Save yourself some grief. Stay somewhere else.

Very nice campground! The staff was friendly and accomodating. The store was well-stocked and the prices were low. The bathrooms and showers were not fancy, but they were clean, stocked, and everything was fully functional. The campground was clean, quiet, and had great open areas and playgrounds for kids. The pool was also clean and inviting. We'd recommend it for anyone camping for an event at SPAC, as it's only about a 25-minute drive from the venue and is very peaceful.

McConchie's Heritage Acres Campground is definitely not an overpriced KOA. But, it IS a great place to unwind and reconnect with the things that create a peaceful time in nature. There is a very large swimming pool, bath houses, restrooms, and two small playgrounds. There are areas set aside for basketball and other sports. During the busier times of summer, there is an event planned almost every weekend. The events are varied, and will appeal to a large and diverse set of interests. McConchies strives to make you aware of activities that are happening in the surrounding area such as a chicken barbecue at the local fire house and other offerings in the neighborhood.||||Shelly is at the campground store most of the time. Or, she might be at the laundry mat located on the property. S

Great place to relax and unwind or go to a show at SPAC. Thank you Shelly for taking care of all of us and making sure everyone got back safely. Will definitely be here again!!

My family had a seasonal place here and we would come up from VA and camp with them for 10 days in the summer. Always had a great time.
