Heartland Resort

My mother and father-in-law live here. The roads are rutted, but it's a nice campgeound. They have a swimming "lake" in the summertime that's fun!

Made our reserv. in Feb. for full hookups, arrived on 8/31 to find they pulled a bait & switch, told us full hookups were gone, lot next to us w/full hookups sat empty all weekend. Public bath house looked like it hadn't been cleaned since 1973; spiders everywhere including inside the showers, sewer backed up in middle of floor, cockroaches crawling around, dirty gravel roads with 100s of golf carts zipping around, our burgers had a film of grimy road dust on them, groups of drunks everywhere! I would advise everyone.....do not camp at this campground, disgusting!

I'm in shock with the 4 star rating??? This place is extremely run down. Very rude and condescending people who run it. Obvious favoritism to certain long term campers over others. Police seem to be there often. Camp sites are a joke! Best pray it don't rain or you'll be in a huge puddle. I wouldn't pay $1 to stay here again.

This is a great place, lots of trees and plenty of space between spaces. The staff here are really nice and helpful. If you are looking for a campground within reasonable distance of Indy, this is definitely the place. Even if you are from out of town and traveling through the area the facilities here are nice, there's even laundry and it's open year round. Tl;Dr this is a nice campground and you should stay here.

Nice and quiet unless you dont want to be until 11 is pretty cool no complaints everyone I met was friendly and welcoming.
