I attended the HWL fly fishing school in April. Outstanding! And it's not just for beginners...it's also a great way for more experienced fly fishers to hone their skills and up their game. The HWL guides are hands-down the best with which I've ever fished, and the lodge is truly a hidden gem...Great staff, outstanding meals, clean, comfortable rooms. And the location can't be beat...easy access to the Madison, Jefferson, Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, and additional private water...which I was able to experience. Kudos to Steve, the guides, the chefs, and all the wonderful staff for what they're building. I intend to return...often!

Everything about Healing Waters Lodge was exceptional! The staff there are friendly and very service oriented ( a rarity this day and age!). The owner is on site and makes sure your stay and fishing experience exceed your expectations. Food was excellent as was the service. I hope to return there.

I recently went to the fishing school at Healing Waters. We spent some time each morning covering various topics on fly fishing. I liked the format with all the lodge guides present giving their tips and tricks. I had TJ as a guide for the week, he was excellent, he gave me excellent instructions that improved my casting and made me better at fighting and landing a fish. He knows the rivers and put me on fish, we caught many big, beautiful browns during the week.|The rooms are very comfortable. The food was outstanding, 5-star dinners and amazing breakfast choices! But what makes the stay special is the staff – the people are all friendly, very attentive to every guest needs – really a top of the line group of people.|I hope to return soon for another memorable Montana fishing experience.

This was an outstanding experience. The fishing was great. My guide for 5 days was pleasant and helpful, The lodge, employees and food and drink were excellent. I rate Healing Waters better than my 6 trips to Chile and Argentina lodges. I look forward to returning.

My husband is an avid fly fisherman and couldn't wait to tackle the trout in Montana. We arrived in Bozeman and had to arrange transportation to the lodge. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the staff, who showed us to our room. The rooms are dated but clean, simple with the bare minimums. The first thing that caught my eye was the large skylight over the bed. I need the room to be dark when I sleep, and the sun rises at 5 am.|Additionally, it is warm in June in Montana, and the rooms are not air-conditioned. I'm sorry, but that is a deal breaker for me. Ladies, if you do not fish, you will be bored out of your minds. The lodge is surrounded by fields. I was charged $275 for a staff member to drive me to the local town, and with a glance, you could see it in no more than 5 secon
