Hazelton Recreation Area

A really secluded COE campground just off the Missouri River. Really nice campground of 30 sites with electric at each site. No water at sites but water fill stations around. Unfortunately, the roads are mostly dirt with some gravel mixed in. This creates so much dust, it coats everything thickly. Fantastic sunsets.

Many sites are not available but you are able to register for what is. It’s a quiet place even tho it’s so close to the freeway. The spots are right on top of each other much like a trailer park so zero privacy. Well maintained. $14 for elec/$12 non. Nice playground. Pit toilets. Tables and grills at each site. Water avail. Great Verizon signal.

This is a nice clean campground. The Park Rangers are friendly & drive through the park daily & warn the campers if bad weather is coming. They only have 12 electrical spots. They have way more primitive spots that usually only get booked up during the 3 holiday weekends. They should make them all electrical, because then they would all get booked up all.

Booked & camped there for Memorial weekend. Didn't have plans with anyone, met our neighbors & had a great time. Campground was nice, green & clean. The park rangers are very nice & friendly.
