Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Rancho Cordova/Folsom

The rooms are big and beyond reasonable in price. Our room had a king sized bed, refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop along with all the usual amenities! They offer a real complimentary breakfast, not just packaged sweet rolls and coffee and they have friendly staff members there to serve you the hot food. The front desk staff are kind, quick, and efficient. The cleaning crew are LOVELY and do a great job: hallways are clean, tables and decor in common areas are dust free, even the parking lot is litter free. They offer online check in/check out and checkout isn’t until 12 PM so you don’t feel rushed to vacate your room. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the area. Thank you to everyone and Hawthorn Suites, our stay was perfect.

It was just plain gross. There was hair all over the sink, counter top, bathroom floor, shower floor, and a clump of hair on the shower wall. They aren't vacuuming at all. They are using dirty mops to push the dirt and hair all over. My bare feet never touched the floors in that disgusting place. ||You get no room service during the week. ||My first morning I put the coffee sack into the coffee maker, put water in the reservoir, hot the on button... Coffee maker didn't work. ||There were overhead lights out in the suite. I had an ironing board but no iron. I had a hairdryer holder on the wall in the bathroom but no hairdryer. ||At night I opened the windows for some fresh air and smelled pot most evenings from the 3rd floor.||The hallways looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. This is a clean, friendly, budget hotel with a few perks. We just stayed here for the second time. The pool has always been too cold, but we've only visited in the winter. It is rather fun to go from a cold pool to the hot tub though. The hot tub is a bit finicky - it's usually too hot or too cool. But if you let the front desk know, they can adjust it and the temp will be perfect in about an hour. The pool and hot tub are well cared for and clean. This feels like a safe, well lit area. It is near a major freeway so there's some noise. They've fixed the musty hallway issues - this time they smelled soapy and new. The linens are all clean. The bedding is soft. Positive: Location was not too far away from our destination Negative: A/C did not work well, keys quit working after day 1, breakfast was just sad, toilet clogged, whole place was dirty and smelled like garbage, ice dispenser did not work, did not like bed configuration. We (all 4 of us) will NOT stay at another Wyndam!

I’ve stayed at this location a few years ago and found it a pleasant option. Yesterday when I arrived, I found the entire hotel dirty, carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in months, smears on the elevator walls. Signed a “no pets” “no smoking (in the rooms)” contract upon checking in at the lobby. As soon as I stepped off the elevator on the second floor, I was hit with the nasty stench of marijuana smoke. Fortunately the room didn’t smell like marijuana or smoke, but I found it very dirty. All seating accommodations were dirty, stained and so questionable, I had to put a towel down to sit on the desk chair seat. The couch was covered with dog fur, people’s hair and debris, and there was unknown “stuff” stuck to the floor, including chewed bubble gum, in most areas of the room. I fo
