Hawks Bluff Rocks, Campground and General Store

I took three of my kids camping and we had to best time! Elizabeth was wonderful and everyone who helps there was so kind. The animals were fabulous and it was beyond beautiful. My kids ranked it 10 out of 10!

This was a great experience. Although it seemed we got there opening weekend and a lot of things were just being set up it was still nice and accommodating. We rented a bell tent (not yurt) for 2 nights. From the first day of contact to set up our stay to the last day, the staff was on top of everything. Communication was excellent. We enjoyed the location, the farm animals, the scenery and rockhounding! Mark showed us the map of the property, marked out a few places to search and even brought us out to one of the spots. He showed us samples of what we could find on the property too. Not only that but he was very helpful with everything else All the details we needed, and anything else like firewood. The facilities were very nice and clean. The showers are very clean with hot water.

Our 3 day stay was the best we have had in private campgrounds. The owners do it top notch and are very personable and responsive. We adore their homestead and all the animals!

Rockhounds behold!! This was a bucket list trip for me! I would even call it a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am just a surface collector of rocks for my garden. I especially could not believe all the botryoidal, which is my #1 favorite thing to collect. No digging required anywhere on the property; they are literally just laying on the ground on hundreds of acres! If you are a rockhound and have never been to Hawks Bluff, this place is a must! ❤️ Also, huge shout out to Elizabeth, the owner, and Riley, a very helpful and intelligent young man, who both taught me so much. You all “rock”!

Not only did we feel welcomed, we made new friends. Elizabeth is amazing and accommodating. She makes you feel at home and if you had forgotten something I bet she has it! I went to look for rocks and I was not disappointed!! Also Aj the caretaker was great! He delivered wood to our campsite, bathrooms were tending to daily, showers were hot and clean and always had a friendly smile. If looking for a family atmosphere, this is the place that you should definitely visit! Justin and I had an absolute wonderful time and will be going back with family and friends.
