Hawkins Creek Campground

We came looking to try something new and do a camping trip. Immediately upon coming to the office was a Trump flag. I assumed businesses kept things neutral but this is apparently a privately opened establishment. I already knew and my family were not welcome nor safe there. Try again somewhere else.

Reliable camp ground. There are a couple of small lakes and a river in the back. Trailer rent is really low and affords all amenities.

We live here year round, quiet scenic, family atmosphere, reasonable rates, all electric, water, WiFi and cable included in monthly rate.

I am very happy with my choice to stay here. The people running the place and the owner are very nice and accommodating. The office is only open from 3-7 but have a phone number if you arrive or need anything at other times. When I arrived, he took me in a golf cart showing me several options for a camping spot. Also took me on a ride showing me the trails through the woods to the swamp area then stayed around to make sure if I needed anything more while I set up. He even brought a landing for my camper since I didn't have a regular set. The trails through the swamp are peaceful and beautiful. They have 3 ponds with benches, a laundry room and showers. Very nice and hospitable owner and staff. We were given a lovely plot of land to pitch our tent on at the last minute due to leaving a separate campground. Encountered very nice residents during the short stay. Only reason for a 4 star review is that there was never any toilet paper or soap in the bathroom. Other than that - I’d highly recommend.
