One of my favorite new places. Definitely will come back. Peaceful, serene, pleasant staff. Tammy and Anita are full of knowledge. Massage available, Yoga available, Sound bath, fresh fruits, hot tub, surrounded by lush greenery. Definitely worth the trip. Our cabin 7 had bathroom, shower, beds were comfortable, cabin was clean. Internet was sketchy but you don't need it here.

I had an overall great experience. It was quite the sanctuary in that it was far removed from the small towns nearby and it’s a large property. Even more impressive was the bird sanctuary part of the retreat center and eco consciousness elements. While I had a fantastic time, here are some things to consider if you’re venturing out with them:||-instructions for arrival were not crystal clear so be sure to read your emails in detail after you reserve. Anita, the host, was amazing when we finally met. I was so thankful she was able to upgrade me to a private cabin. The Sanctuary brings people together and allows creativity and fun to flow 😄 The Sanctuary is an amazing community. This was my first time in Hawaii and it was deeply personal and spiritual for me. I spent the month of September there was a guest. Many things to do in the sanctuary. I didn't try to the hula class, but I could hear the beautiful music  while the class was going on, and also they have breathwork and sound healing. Also a weekly "bee dance" which to give you an idea is similiar to ecstatic dance, yoga daily, and fun celebrations. While I was there I went to a festival for a hindu goddess. On a human level I am grateful to have been able to connect with those that work there full time, the farm interns, and other people that work there 🙏. As well as those from the surroun

We stumbled upon Hawaiian Sanctuary Retreat Center while looking for a last-minute place to stay near Hilo after deciding to extend our honeymoon from Kona to explore the other side of the island, and we’re so glad we did! What started as a spontaneous stay turned into one of the most healing and transformative experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was peaceful, welcoming, and full of genuine care. We ended up spending nearly all of our time at the sanctuary instead of exploring because their healing services were exactly what we needed. Dr. Rich was phenomenal! Combining medical expertise with a holistic approach to help us address some long-standing health issues. Tammy’s bodywork and her deep understanding of frequency and energy work were absolutely ess
