Handkerchief Shoals Inn

Adorable little hotel! Clean rooms and perfect location. Giant shower and all the toiletries provided were so nice. The pool is the absolute highlight though! It's so spacious and clean and relaxing. We had contactless check in and were only there a few days so we didn't see any staff. Only downside I would say is our bed wasn't too comfortable in the single Queen room. Will definitely come back next year and will be springing for a King Bed instead hoping that's more comfortable.

My family’s recent stay at this motel was a disaster from start to finish. We were appalled to find mouse droppings scattered in multiple areas of our room—hardly the level of cleanliness one should expect in any lodging.||To make matters worse, our 3-year-old daughter became sick, resulting in an accident on the bedding. I generally do not like ANY hotel that has entrances from the outside--a la Bates Motel. But this was very cute! The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Kept with nautical theme and colors. Very convenient to have a full microwave and nice sized refrigerator (can easily fit magnum-sized wine bottle). Pleasant, quiet. We were with many couples as we were there for a friend's daughter's wedding nearby. There were outside tables where we sat at night and sipped wine and talked for hours. We thought we'd have to do that squeezed into someone's room, but this couldn't have been more convenient and delightful. We didn't use the pool although it certainly looked nice enough. This is a wonderful hotel it’s very clean, the grounds beautiful they are what caught our eye and the swimming pool is wonderful. The couple that run the motel are very nice and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

This is a very nice place to stay. Open the door to your room very pretty New England decor and clean as a whistle. The owners, Leonard and Alexandra were helpful with whatever needs we had, including restaurant recommendations, etc.. We enjoyed our stay and our time exploring the beach and nearby Chatham.
