Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Northwest/Oldsmar

There are countless properties to choose from - we chose this location in Oldsmar over our Christmas break. We felt comfortable during our week-long stay as it sits just off the main roadway - very nice. The Hampton Inn Oldsmar staff was very kind and accommodating entirely and they respected our requests! One of the nights, the coffee seemed a bit aged and the fellow at the front desk took time to make fresh - just enough time to get a quick workout in. We hope to return to this location in the future!

Our first night here and shame on us for not researching this Hilton. We just came from a Staybridge where breakfast was included, laundry was free and maid service (BASIC) was daily. Upon our arrival at the Hilton, there was no soap in the bathroom for hand washing. The handle to flush the toilet was stuck down and the water was continuously running into the toilet. $4 to wash a load of clothes and $4 to dry a load. 1 of 2 dryers is out of service. Towels, trash and bed making will occur every other day unless otherwise requested. It took forever to get hot water for our showers. On the plus side, the man at the front desk was pleasant.

Positive: Nice rooms, friendly staff. Negative: There was a bad smell in the hallway that was never addressed. Breakfast was minimal.

The heater in the room would not turn off automatically, so I had to keep adjusting manually through the night. They also billed me $11.70 per day for parking. I booked via expedia and this charge was not included in the total booking price nor was it mentioned when I checked-in or during check-out. The parking charge was placed on my card 2 days later. No transparency and deceptive. If there is an additional charge for parking they should tell you this at check-in and make it clear as most hotels do. Instead you get a surprise additional charge and they blame the 3rd party booking site when you follow up. The transaction charge clearly shows it is from Hilton Hotels(Hampton Inn).

This property was super clean. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Shout out to Michaela (sp) for going above and beyond! She is awesome.
