Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis-Edwardsville

Unfortunately, I will probably have to come back to this place because it’s location helps me serve several clients very well. The place desperately needs a renovation. Carpets are disgusting. TV’s are old tech and the remotes barely work. The bathrooms need upgrades as well. Plumbing has drainage and pressure issues. Thr bathroom sink in my unit had a faucet that was not connected to the countertop at all, it would flop around and drop if you didn’t hold it upright. The employees were fabulous and quite obviously had become adept customer service pros learning to deflect incoming shots from complaints. They made the stay tolerable. The place needs a gut job rebuild. Hopefully I find that to be the case if I return.

I got a phone call 27 minutes prior to our arrival, after already being on the road 2 hours, to tell me that my reservation had "somehow been canceled" and that they were "sold out, sorry". I asked what I was supposed to do with 3 children at 6:30pm just to be told again that they "didnt have any rooms, sorry". Clearly, they saw my reservation. I booker this month's ago at a much cheaper rate than the current nightly rate. My guess is my reservation was canceled and given to someone else who was paying more. Absolutely horrible customer service, zero sympathy, and no chance we will be returning to another Hampton.

This was the worst Hampton hotel I have ever stayed at. The bathroom was gross mold growing in the shower. The shower was so gross that we did not even feel comfortable taking a shower. Toilet was dirty, toilet paper holder not hanging on the wall. Drywall damage in the bathroom. Whoever is in charge of this place clearly does not care. Save your money and go to a different hotel.

Positive: Breakfast was great. It?s also in a great location. Negative: Water is not hotIt?s very loud outside of the room and you can?t set the fan to just run so it?s super quiet in the room but you can hear absolutely everything. We checked out a day early because of it.

This is a minor thing, but still rather important. This is the first Hilton property I have ever stayed in (and I’m a Diamond member) where there was only one trash can, which was in the bathroom. I asked for another but was told it wasn’t available. The “smart” TV had YouTube and Netflix buttons on the remote, but no apps on the actual TV. I was told I was the only person who had ever asked about such a thing. Strange, because most Hilton properties now feature smart TVs. Plus there was only one hook in the bathroom for hanging towels and it was on the door, which is pretty useless when you’re in the shower. Oh, and no ice maker on the first floor. It seems we clearly have a case of a very cheap owner unwilling to pay for basic features that nearly all Hilton brands offer. The staff was n
