Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh/Waterfront-West Homestead

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh/Waterfront-West Homestead! The location is absolutely perfect—right along the waterfront with beautiful views and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops. It’s a great spot whether you’re visiting Pittsburgh for a game, a getaway, or just passing through. The hotel itself was spotless and very well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything felt fresh and modern. Overall our stay was satisfactory. We went to the Improve for a late show and wanted to stay somewhere close and the Hampton seemed to fit the bill. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the room was extremely nice. I found the bed to be a bit uncomfortable but my wife loved it, so maybe im like the princess and the pea. We found the elevators to be unfresh and not pleasant smelling, which can be an easy fix, hint hint Hampton.

Easy place to find, check in was very easy. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. Room needs a little TLC and my only criticism is the hotel needs a TV upgrade with additional channels including steaming which most other Hampton and Hilton brands haves. Breakfast was satisfying with lots choices.

I want to start this by saying, I am very brand-loyal to Hampton Inns in general. But this was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had at one. The short version is, this hotel is practically falling apart. Nothing inside it works. The doorknob to my bathroom was broken. The tub was broken, as only the shower worked, but not the spout. (This made it difficult to draw a bath for my young son that was with us, so we had to give him a shower.) The ice machines on at least floors 2 & 4 don't work (although floor 3 worked, at least). One of the elevators broke while we were there on the last day. And then beyond that, the rooms are just incredibly run down. We had huge water stains on our ceiling, as well as general stains on the carpet. There was debris inside some of the drawers

Location is phenomenal, my view has the river. Walking distance to a lot of shopping, the stacks, and places to eat. As for the room, although it wasn't the best upon arrival, Danieal (front desk) came immediately and addressed the issue. She went above and beyond including cleaning things housekeeping didn't, made sure my son was comfortable with the stay, greeted everyone with a big smile upon arrival and exiting of the building! No other worker said anything to us. Complimentary breakfast was delicious!
