Hampton Inn & Suites Milwaukee West

Lots of space, but the layout was unusual. There was no comfortable viewing point for the TV. The room was spotless, and we loved that. It was very confusing getting to the hotel from the interstate highway. We were notified that our room was ready several hours before we arrived, and our digital key was activated. Upon arrival, we opened our door to find our room had not been cleaned. We were moved to another room where we found our TV did not work, and someone else's name was on the TV screen. We attempted to call the front desk, but our telephone did not work either. The TV was eventually repaired with no apology for the inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again! The room was clean and the hot continental breakfast was a great way to start the day. They are currently renovating some areas due to the Milwaukee flooding this past summer but it didn't affect our stay at all. The location is close to the fair grounds/speedway, some night life, and a short drive to the Brewers stadium. I also appreciated the digital phone key which made check in/ out very seamless!

Positive: The guy who said he worked there for 10 years around 10:30pm was the best employee I ever met and I stay here a couple times a month. Give him a raise or promotion or something like he?s quick thorough and very personable. I wish I got his name! Negative: The fact that there was not a microwave in the room was a shock like actually felt like I was being punked in 2025 a hotel with no microwave should be a criminal offense lol

Handy location and nice hotel! I stay a lot at Hilton brand properties and the Hampton Inns are usually clean and well laid out. This one did not disappoint! Room was clean, bathroom well appointed and the shower was very nice with the head high enough for me (over 6’). Breakfast was consistent with other Hamptons with a nice selection of both hot and not hot foods. I like their hot oatmeal with add-ons available. Lobby and breakfast employees were friendly and helpful. Location was nice with a variety of good restaurants in short walking distance.

All in all its a decent hotel. However its 2am and it is so bright in my room because of the lamp posts outside. They only have the sheer curtains blocking the window on half vs the thick black out. Why isn't the black out curtain on the whole window especially with the lamp right outside the window next to the bed?! Everything else is clean, comfortable, and nice front desk management.
