Hampton Inn & Suites Holly Springs

We popped in for a quick night and was really impressed by how nice and clean the room was! It had everything we needed. Breakfast was a little underwhelming, but honestly, it didn't take away from the overall experience.

We stayed here 2 nights due to proximity to a wedding we were attending at a good “block” rate. |Front staff was very friendly and we were able to get into a room early (which was great since my husband needed to work on the Friday we arrived). We had a 3rd floor double queen room. The room was spacious, and bathroom well lit with a nightlight (a big plus in my book as many hotels are dark and thus hard to apply makeup, and hate to leave a light on if have to go to restroom in the middle of the night). Liked long breakfast hours. “Breakfast included” items typical for a chain: nothing to rave about, but served its purpose. Coffee was available in reception area almost any hour, but found it to be very weak, to the point where went to Starbucks couple times inside the nearby supermarke

Positive: It was clean and we enjoyed the hot breakfast. Negative: Every every hotel we’ve been in has had a microwave plus some mini fridge. This one did not have a microwave.

Love being close to downtown Holly Springs. Gym is missing 7 of 20 dumbells, 4 of the 13 are missing or have broken hand grips. Hvac systems suck bc you cant turn the fan to run constant for white noise. TV sucks bc sleep timer doesnt work, same issue multiple rooms, and its not a smart tv. Get with the program! I will not stay here again until there is a major makeover.

Heat dont work in rooms. First room I walked in it was 55deg, heat wouldn't kick on. Unit clicks like it tries to work but heat wouldn't come out of unit. 2nd room temp was like 64, a bit more manageable, didnt feel like getting another room. Came to room after work next day, only reason room heated up was because outside temp heated the room. Cool air blows from unit no heat. Unit does same thing as other room's unit, Thermostat set to 70 when I left, only 68 degrees in room. For the price these units need serviced if its a freezing issue then empty room's units should have been turned prior to the arctic blast. Other than that rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.
