Hampton Inn Rochester Penfield

The room was great - spacious and clean! There were always parking spots available. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety. They also have a free 24/7 coffee station (sadly 2 of the coffee pots and the hot chocolate was missing upon check-out. Not sure if this is planned or was just a coincidence). My daughter got sick twice while in bed! We had to ask for clean sheets a couple of times and the staff were happy to help! The staff were wonderful overall! The laundry facilities were a bit pricey, but efficient and very convenient in case of emergency. The pool was fun, BUT it would have been nicer if it was a little warmer (we went in the winter). Clean, modern room with comfortable bed. No disappointments. We deliberately chose it for the EV charging, but you have to pay (Chargepoint). The breakfast was fine, but pretty standard hotel fare. Not a whole lot in the immediate area, especially within walking distance. On the plus side, it's a little secluded and quiet in the area. Friendly service.

Plenty of space in our king-size bed room. The bed itself, along with the bed sheets & blankets, was very comfortable. The bathroom also was nice for the most part. The showerhead was a cheap Waterpik, not at the level of the rest of the room. It didn't provide enough pressure / concentration to rinse efficiently on any setting, and it was difficult to change the setting. The bathroom vanity had plenty of space, especially with the raised shelf along the back. And lighting was good when shaving. I'm not a fan of the liquid soaps they provide, but admittedly that's where a lot of chains are going (vs bar soaps). Though the place was full when we were there, it was relatively quiet. Do not book this hotel if you expect your security deposit to be returned to you in a timely manner. They won’t send it back to you for 2 weeks. Horrible service in that aspect. Front desk staff was kind and helpful, room was very nice, I would’ve given 4 maybe even 5 stars, but they did not return our security deposit until Jan 11th and we checked out on the 1st. That’s a good amount of money to just keep away from people for that long. We were told our deposit would come back to us within 72 hours of checking out. 10 days is way longer than 72 hours and we probably wouldn’t have gotten it back had we not called to complain.
