the sink plunger didn’t work, there was not a sofa bed in the room as stated in room description, just a chair, the AC unit sounded like it needed to be looked at, and there are two shampoos in the shower instead of one shampoo and one conditioner. Coffee in lobby was very good! Location is great!

Picked this hotel to stay for an event approximately 30 minutes drive away. The hotel looks better on the web. The A/C is those under the window individual unit that commonslly found in older hotels. Fortunately, it is not too noisy, but clearly it has trouble to cool down the room. The room was set at 66F when we walked in and clearly the room won't feel like 66F. The bathroom has a broken cloth hanging hook half way from fell off from the wall. The hotel installed a horizontal towel hanger right in front of the sink. It is more like a safey rail to forbid you get too close to the sink. What a "genius" design. The included breakfast quality is okay, just the choices are not so good. It is very limited.

After crossing the luminous metro area of Richmond, I arrived at this beautiful hotel.It is located in a tranquil neighborhood, away from the noise of the city, yet still close to restaurants and shops. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The lobby was clean and well-lit, giving me a good first impression.The room was spacious and tidy, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night. The air conditioning worked well, and the Wi-Fi connection was stable.When I woke up the next morning, I was showered in the bright sunshine. My stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Richmond West/Innsbrook was not only the worst I’ve ever experienced it was unsafe, unprofessional, discriminatory, and a complete violation of the standards Hilton claims to uphold. Let me be extremely clear: The General Manager, Teresa, should not be managing any property, let alone representing a global brand built on hospitality. She was nowhere to be found when accountability was required, and she lacked the basic competence to operate their computer system to even complete a room change she herself offered. Her idea of “service” was throwing reward points at me while leaving me in a filthy room overnight a room that never should have been occupied. Hotel was clean and location was great for the sports tournament that we were in the area to attend. Staff was very friendly. |Paint was peeling on the bathroom ceiling and the caulk in the shower was moldy. Clearly some deferred maintenance. The toiletries attached to the wall instead of single use bottles. The shampoo was empty when we arrived, so it was clear that it had not been filled in a long time. The body lotion bottle was coming off the wall. |The door to the room doesn't close automatically which is a safety issue. You have to really push/pull it closed. The room was clean and it smelled nice. The pillows were lumpy and not comfortable, but the bed was comfortable. The lobby is small, but was adequate.
