Hampton Inn Parkersburg-Mineral Wells

Not sure why others rate this lower. I had a comfortable stay, in a clean room with very accommodating staff. In fact, the card readers went down due to a technical issue and the woman working the front desk had to manually let people into their rooms. She could had been nasty about it but wasn't. She helped each person with a smile. Great to see service excellence like this.

The staff was competent. The water pressure of the shower pleased me. While I brought my 55 pound mutt, I was happy that my room was free of any pet odor. I received two free bottles of water with my Hilton Rewards Membership. There are several parking places. It's incredibly easy to get back on US 77. This hotel is fine if you need an inexpensive, clean, safe place to sleep for 10 hours.||The free breakfast tasted as if housekeeping staff pulled the Gordon's Food cardboard box out of the freezer and placed it directly into the microwave. The food tasted somewhere between high school cafeteria food and prison food.||If you are an Ohio University parent, I do not recommend this location. The road to the hotel is windy, dark, and far.

The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — exactly what I needed after a long day. But what really made the experience stand out was Roxann. She was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional from the moment I checked in. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and takes pride in her work. Interactions like that are what keep me loyal to Hilton properties across the country. My room was spotless, the breakfast area was kept clean and stocked, and the whole team clearly works together to create a great environment. Room was clean, bed was comfortable for what little time I slept. I booked a room for the debut of the re-opening of West Virginia Motor Speedway, not knowing how late the races would be over. Races ran late due to a huge crowd and race cars. I left the track at approximately 2:30 am. Got to the front desk to ask for a later check out time, there was no one available so I went on to my room. At 9 am housekeeping was knocking on doors as if to be a morning wakeup call all the way down the hall. I got approximately 5 hours sleep at this point I wasn't happy. So I get my things together and proceed to the front desk to check out and voice my issues with the staff and grab some breakfast before my 2 hour drive home. Staff was tearing down the breakfast area so there wasn't much to choose from.
