Hampton Inn Martinsburg South-Inwood

We stay at this hotel a few times a year because my brother lives nearby. On our most recent visit their website said there were renovations going on which did give us pause but it turned out to be no problem at all.||The work takes place between 8 and 3:30. Every worker we ran into was polite. There was no excessive noise at all. The breakfast area was blocked off so the hotel made use of the business area to put breakfast items out, it worked out fine.||All the staff is great but I do want to shout out Corey, who does a fantastic job.

Positive: Price and location Negative: Was being renovated, plastic over the windows, pool was closed which was a determining factor in selecting it.

Not sure what the raving reviews are about. I don’t mind the lobby renovations but there’s nothing positive about these old, tired, outdated, worn out rooms. The carpet is extremely filthy—it’s essentially a sponge that’s been soaking up spills, sweat, dirt, juices, etc from countless guests over the years, with dark stains everywhere that no amount of vacuuming can hide The walls are dirty and sticky, and a dusty musty smell permeates everything from the linens to the HVAC. Front desk was nice, but the room condition ruined the stay. With renovations apparently underway, I hope they prioritize these ancient rooms, until then, I’d look elsewhere in the area.

Very convenient location. The rooms are comfortable and clean although dated. The only thing missing were the waffles but that’s due to renovations. I imagine that when the renovations will be completed this hotel will be top notch!

Kelsey & Jennifer defined great hospitality! I admire that there's always a smile in Jens face! These two are very pleasant! I worked in the hospitality industry on south beach for over 11 years and what ive experienced thusfar at this hotel is great experience. Thank you ladies for being attentive, courteous, hospitable and accommodating. I would definitely come back here. In a year time to when training is due.
