Hampton Inn Debary/Deltona

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The public areas and rooms were very clean and presentable. The decor is updated and fresh looking. The seating was comfortable and clean. The hot breakfast was excellent - everyone loved it. They had flavored waffles, which we all enjoyed. Also, their food service lady, although really nice and helpful had "glove immunity," meaning she wouldn't change her gloves. One minute she is spraying and wiping down the counters and the next she is handling food. She just needs to change to new gloves between cleaning and serving. The room A/C smelled really strange. Worse place to stay! I paid for two night and once they knew I was not staying another night they turned. First day they were doing this fire alarm has to hold in time, which was annoying.. then I went to go get chicken noodle soup and it was all expired which was disgusting and then I asked for a late checkout which they told me when I checked in I could ask for that and he gave me only 15 minutes for late. So I went downstairs and I said can I please have a late check out to talk to him in person and the lady with the dark hair said whoa whoa whoa what’s going on so he told me I need to leave the premises I was not causing scene so I went to go sit on the benches cause I had to wait for someone to pick me up and then the lady with the dark hair that works up there I didn’t get her name w

We unfortunately didn't have a good experience. After spending a night of traveling we stopped to get rooms, with smaller children I headed in right away to use the bathroom, After going back out to the car to get things situated,. Before securing 2 rooms ( just for my family) however they decide to kick 2 of my children out of the building claiming they didn't allow the ( PUBLIC ) to use their restroom, sending my children down the road to use a dirty gas station bathroom, without even asking if they were guests.. As a mother I was extremely upset. With trafficking on an ever increasing rise, I went in to let the receptionist know we had stayed before, and thought we would be safe at this hotel. Positive: The staff Negative: The pool had a weird mold or something growing in it. The hot tub literally turned my bathing suit another color from chlorine. Kinda gross - we loved everything else.

The hotel is nice enough, but it lacks polish. The shower in both rooms drained really slowly. The outlets could not hold a plug. One of our rooms did not have a microwave, which to my understanding was a standard amenity. The ice machine on my floor did not work and was not marked out of order. Although I’m sure some, if not all issues could have been resolved, I don’t like for my travel to require coordinating with maintenance to fix things. It just takes away from the experience. Front desk staff was hospitable.
