Hampton Inn by Hilton Muscatine

The hotel had had the pool closed for repairs for over 4 years. They finally are doing some remodeling the the workmanship is horrible not to mention my son didn’t get any sleep the last night we were there due to the new ac unit making a loud noise.

The outside of the building looks perfectly fine. The reception area is dated but ok.|Our room was on the 3rd floor taking the elevator up was scary as it stopped and made a loud noise before opening the door. A guy who was also on said that is “normal” for that elevator.|The floor its self is quite dated and frankly ugly. On entering the room, they had left the air conditioner on so low that we were forced to increase the room temperature by turning on the heat. The room was super dated with yellow tinged lamp shades and the carpeting from the entryway to the bed area was frayed and coming apart. The bathroom was gross with stains on the walls. |Unfortunately, I stepped on the frayed area with my bare feet and stepped on the top of a nail that was out about a quarter of an inch. I

Great place to stay. Staff have all been exceptionally helpful and courteous. Working, cleaning, everything spotless, smells clean, looks great. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Linens are nice. Location is convenient. Good value. Definitely will stay here again and recommend to others.

The room seemed a lot fresher and cleaner this weekend, but this hotel is seriously needs updating. The chair in the room has stains all over it looks so nasty. Hard to believe this hotel is a Hilton. Then I kept being bit and there were little tiny bugs flying in the room. This morning there were ants all over my dogs food. You have a manifestation of ants in the carpet there. It’s so disgusting and I think that something should be done and I should be compensated for all the ant n bug bitesz

Positive: Staff was friendly and accomodating. Negative: Elevator is noisy. Tv difficult to operate.
