Hampton Inn Bermuda Run Winston-Salem

My husband and I were in the area for a Celebration of Life service and stayed at this Hampton Inn location. Being a Diamond member, we are able to skip the line at check in and head straight to our room using our digital key. The room was very spacious and equipped with everything you come to expect from a Hampton Inn property. Later in the evening, I went downstairs to request an extra blanket and the two staff members at the front desk were happy to provide one. While there, I was able to pick up our water and snack for our stay, as well. Breakfast was plentiful and well stocked and the eating area was very clean. Last but not least, when I asked for a late check, due to the lateness for the Celebration of Life service, Mark, at the front desk, was a rockstar in accommodating our reques

Rooms haven’t been updated in at least 20 years. They are old. Carpet is nasty and smells like mildew and stale cigarettes, furniture needs replaced and updated. Tile floor is old and dirty. The bathroom had showers doors from 1989 that were cloudy and wouldn’t slide and the grout was mildewed. The light fixtures in the bathroom were missing covers. The were water stains on the ceiling in the main bedroom. They even showed us 3 other rooms and all were the same.|This hotel was one of the higher rated hotels in that area. The price with taxes was almost $400 for two nights. We were there for a wedding. I have stayed in nicer places for less money. My husband and I ended up going to a different place with a lower rating for less money and it was a 100% improvement from this place. Save your

Positive: Staff, breakfast area, location to dining and highway Negative: Doors to rooms shut hard late and early. Because of the "water park" there were a lot of kids and they were running halls - not the hotels fault though.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about my recent stay at the Hampton Inn Bermuda Run. What started as a simple overnight trip turned into an unexpected snowstorm adventure, and the team here absolutely saved the day. I got stuck in town when the roads iced over and the snow came down way faster than expected. Most places were short staffed or stressed, but not this hotel. From the moment I walked in, Tommy at the front desk greeted me with the biggest smile, got me checked in quickly, and even helped me figure out safe food options nearby since everything was closing early. He stayed calm and helpful the entire time, even with a lobby full of stranded travelers. Later that evening, I saw Donte Harris and the general manager Anthony jumping in everywhere, helping guests extend stay

I wanted to like this place. My first room impression was 5 stars. Then I went to take a shower only to discover that one of the doors didn't work. I step in, reach to turn on the shower, and almost break my arm trying to turn it on. I go to condition my hair and...no conditioner. I get out, and the shower is dripping loudly. I call downstairs and ask for a Saturday maintenance visit and housekeeping request. I'm told there is no maintenance until Monday. ☹️ If I want conditioner, I can go downstairs and get the key to unlock the conditioner bottle, bring it downstairs and swap it out. I don't understand this because housekeeping does work over the weekend and it would have been simple enough to make a note for them to stop in for 2 minutes and refill the conditioner like they should have
