Hampton Inn Amesbury

I am a frequent traveler, have 15 years continue Hilton diamond member. I never see such a thing happened. I booked the hotel at 1/27/2026 for 1/29/2026 for one night. They sent a confirmation for check in at 1/28/2026. On 1/29/2026 11:30pm when I was driving to the hotel, I found out they cancelled my reservation on the last minutes without any notice. I called them, the operator was so rude saying we are not responsible for any alternative arrangement. This made me stranded on the middle of road at 11:30pm. I sent a complain. The manager replied "we refunded you". This manager even don't know what is called "walking policy" to arrange a nearby hotel. What a pathetic hotel.

Decent hotel in a good location. Breakfast was decent and they even had gluten-free bread. The staff at breakfast work very hard. |The bathroom was dated (the toilet was badly cracked) and could use an upgrade. Also, one of the electric points on the table lamp was not working and I found dust on all the fixtures. Housekeeping can be improved.

Positive: Clean, location and great breakfast with coffee 24 hrs. Pet friendly but very expensive at $75 for 1-4 days. 1 day is $75. Negative: A bit of highway noise from the interstate.

Front desk staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were clean, including bathrooms. Poolarea was well kept.

Clean and comfortable Hilton brand Hotel. I used to contact list methods for checking in and checking out so I really can't speak to the service. Room was clean and had everything I needed for a one-night stay.
